Before you explore the Scriptures that shape our vision, mission, and values, it helps to first understand two key ideas that guide how we live them out: the Oikos principle and the B.L.E.S.S. model.
Oikos Principle:
Oikos (Greek: οἶκος)
Biblical definition: An extended household or relational network, including family, relatives, close friends, neighbors, and others under the influence and care of a person or household.
In the New Testament, oikos often refers to more than just immediate family—it describes the wider circle of people connected to someone’s life. Many times, when someone encountered Jesus, their whole household (oikos) was impacted.
Examples in Scripture:
“Today salvation has come to this house (oikos).” — Jesus, about Zacchaeus (Luke 19:9)
“He and his whole household believed.” — The royal official after Jesus healed his son (John 4:53)
The Gospel spread through households in stories like Cornelius (Acts 10–11), Lydia (Acts 16), and the Philippian jailer (Acts 16).
Oikos: The people God has placed in your life—your household, friends, and close relationships—through whom His love and Good News naturally flows.
The B.L.E.S.S. Model:
The B.L.E.S.S. model is a simple way to share God’s love with the people in your life. It helps us build real relationships and point others toward Jesus in a natural, caring way.
B — Believe for them in prayer
Ask God to bless them, open their hearts, and give you opportunities to show His love.
L — Learn their story
Listen well. Get to know what matters to them, what they’re going through, and what they care about.
E — Eat with them
Share a meal, a coffee, or time together. Relationships grow when we slow down and spend time with people.
S — Serve them
Look for practical ways to care for them, meet needs, and be a blessing in everyday life.
S — Share your story
When the time is right, share what Jesus has done in your life and why your faith matters to you.
Our vision is for every neighborhood in our region to have a vibrant, everyday witness for Christ—a web of influence that reaches every corner of our community. The dream is that no matter where someone lives, works, studies, or plays, they will inevitably encounter someone living like Jesus. At the heart of it, we believe this is not just the job of a few—it is the calling of every follower of Jesus.
Vision Statement:
“Everyone deserves to know someone who lives like Jesus!”
1. “Everyone” - God’s love and invitation is for all people, no matter their background, status, or location.

“...all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
👉 God’s promise to Abraham was global from the start—meant for everyone.

Revelation 7:9
“...there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language...”
👉 A picture of the fulfillment of the “everyone” vision—it ends with global worship.
2. “Deserves” - This doesn’t mean people have earned it or are worthy on their own—it reflects God’s heart and design for humanity. Everyone is created in God’s image and is meant to experience life with Jesus. Therefore, everyone is entitled by God’s grace to see and know the love, truth, and example of someone who truly follows Jesus.

“He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you...And you are to love those who are foreigners...”
👉 God cares that all people, especially outsiders, are included and treated with dignity.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” “And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
👉 There’s a God-given urgency to ensure all have access to the message—because they deserve to hear it.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
👉 Justice includes giving people what they are due—access to God’s love and truth.
Acts 10:34–35
“I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
👉 This reinforces that everyone deserves the chance to know and follow God.
3. “To Know Someone” - Faith is not just taught—it’s caught through relationships. The Bible consistently shows the Gospel spreading through people, not just proclamations.

“Walk with the wise and become wise...”
👉 Spiritual growth happens through proximity to others.

1 Thessalonians 2:8
“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
👉 Paul emphasizes the relational nature of ministry—it’s not just about preaching, but presence.
4. “Who Lives Like Jesus” - This is the heart of discipleship: not just believing in Jesus, but actually living like Him.
1 John 2:6
“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.”
👉 Clear call to live like Jesus.

“...Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
👉 The ultimate goal is not imitation alone—but incarnation: Jesus in us, lived out for others to see.
Philippians 2:15
“...Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.”
👉 Your life should be a visible example—so that others can know Jesus through you.
We exist to equip every generation to lead like Jesus—empowering believers of all ages to influence their world with His character, compassion, and courage. Whether at home, in the workplace, in classrooms, or at the coffee shop, we believe God has strategically placed each of us to make a difference. Through intentional discipleship, leadership development, and the practical rhythms of the B.L.E.S.S. model, we train followers of Jesus to be everyday leaders who reflect His love and truth wherever they go. Our mission is not just to gather people, but to send them—ready to live and lead on mission in every sphere of life.
Mission Statement:
“We equip every generation to lead like Jesus where they live, work, study, and play.”
1. “We equip” – The role of the church is to prepare believers for ministry
Ephesians 4:11–12
“So Christ himself gave... the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
👉 The church exists to equip, not just entertain or inform. This is the backbone of our mission.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
“All Scripture is God-breathed... so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
👉 Equipping is part of maturing believers to live out their faith practically.
2 Timothy 2:2
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others."
👉 Leaders equip others.
2. “Every generation” – Discipleship is for all believers of all ages, not just leaders. We are an intergenerational church built for generational impact.
Matthew 28:19–20
“Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
👉 Discipleship is the task of every believer, and every believer is meant to be discipled.

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”
👉 “Everyone” — not just the few — are meant to grow and live as mature followers.
1 Corinthians 12:27
"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
👉 Each one of us have a role to play in the church.
3. “To lead like Jesus” – Every believer is called to take ownership, influence others, and grow in leadership – the Jesus way
1 Timothy 4:12
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers...”
👉 Leadership starts with leading yourself well and setting an example in your context.
Matthew 20:26–28
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant... just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”
👉 Jesus redefined leadership as servant leadership, which all believers are called to emulate.

“If it is to lead, do it diligently...”
👉 Leading well is both a gift and a calling. The Next Steps Pathway reflects that call.

"For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers."
👉 Every community and region needs leadership.
4. “Where they live, work, study, and play.” – Mission begins in our everyday relationships

“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you...”
👉 Jesus sends people to reach their Oikos first—their natural circle.

👉 Faith spreads naturally through Oikos. It’s where discipleship and leadership begin.

👉 The earliest evangelism happened in Oikos relationships.
Colossians 4:5-6
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
👉 The assumption is that our Oikos includes non-believers.
Genesis 12:2–3
“I will bless you... and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
👉 We are blessed to be a blessing. This is the biblical foundation for the B.L.E.S.S. strategy.
Luke 10:5–9
“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ ...Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”
👉 B.L.E.S.S. is modeled in Jesus’ instructions: begin with prayer and peace, then serve and share.
Our values for the church begin with following Jesus—that’s the foundation for everything. We believe that to grow spiritually, every believer needs to connect relationally at four levels: the church family, a circle of friends, a table for two and time alone with God. All of these are essential for a well-rounded and growing faith. We also see every Christian as a lifelong learner—someone always taking the next step in their walk with Jesus. And finally, we believe every believer is called to lead like Jesus where they live, work, study, and play. For us, that looks like living out the Oikos Principle through the B.L.E.S.S. model. These four areas—following Jesus, connecting relationally, growing continually, and living on mission by leading like Jesus—are the core foundations we value most.
Values:
Follow. Connect. Grow. Lead.
1. Follow Jesus - This is the foundation of the Christian life—responding to Jesus’ invitation to surrender our lives and follow Him in every aspect of life.
Matthew 4:19
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
👉 The call to follow Jesus is both relational and missional.
Luke 9:23
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
👉 Following Jesus is a daily act of surrender and alignment with His way.
John 10:27
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
👉 Our identity is found in knowing and following the voice of our Shepherd.
2. Connect Relationally - God designed us to grow through connection with Him and one another. This value reflects the four levels of relationship (church family, circle of friends, table for two, alone with God).
Acts 2:42–47
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship... They broke bread in their homes and ate together... and the Lord added to their number daily.”
👉 The early church grew through authentic community.
Hebrews 10:24–25
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on... not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another.”
👉 Relationships are where spiritual formation and encouragement happen.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
“Two are better than one... if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
👉 God made us for relational strength, not isolation.
👉The Four Levels of Christian Relationship:
1. With their local “church family”, gathering weekly to be equipped to live on mission together.
2. With their “circle of friends”, wrestling with the daily challenges of living effectively for Christ.
3. With a “table for two” whom they share comfort, encouragement, and accountability to become better followers of Jesus.
4. With time spent “alone with God” that continually serves as the foundation of who they are and what they do.
3. Grow Continually - Spiritual growth is a journey, not a one-time event. Every believer has a next step—whether it is faith, baptism, community, or leadership.
Philippians 3:13–14 (NIV)
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal...”
👉 The Christian life is marked by movement and continual growth.
2 Peter 1:5–8 (NIV)
“Make every effort to add to your faith... For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure... they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive.”
👉 Next steps are about growing in spiritual maturity over time.
Colossians 2:6–7 (NIV)
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him...”
👉 There’s always more room to grow deeper in Christ.
4. Lead Like Jesus
This is the outward expression of your inward transformation—living on mission in your everyday relationships.
Genesis 12:2–3 (NIV)
“I will bless you... and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
👉 We are blessed by God to be a blessing to others.
Mark 5:19 (NIV)
“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you...”
👉 Jesus sends us to our Oikos—our circle of influence.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
“You will be my witnesses... in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
👉 We are empowered by the Spirit to live missionally, starting with those closest to us.
Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
👉 B.L.E.S.S. is about living visibly and intentionally for others’ benefit.
